ENVISIONED IMPACT AND SUCCESS METRICS
Quantifying Transformation in Physiotherapy

Despite the early end of Radian Mobility due to lack of product-market fit, our targeted metrics aimed to comprehensively evaluate its impact on physiotherapy. Key metrics included patient adherence to exercises, effectiveness of the motion-tracking AI, and user engagement. These metrics were designed to validate the app's potential to revolutionize traditional physiotherapy practices by enhancing efficiency, engagement, and patient outcomes.

Patient Accountability

Monitoring exercise completion rates to assess adherence outside of clinical visits.

AI Effectiveness

Evaluating the accuracy of AI in tracking and improving patient exercises through real-time feedback.

User Engagement

Tracking daily active users and session durations to gauge app engagement and usability.

PROMOTING ACCOUNTABILITY
Tracking Progress for Better Recovery Outcomes
  • Platform Purpose: Radian Mobility designed to support and track exercise regimens.

  • Functionality: Enabled physiotherapists to monitor patient compliance with prescribed exercises.

  • Engagement Strategy: Fostered accountability and engagement among patients.

  • Recovery Impact: Enhanced patient recovery by ensuring follow-through on exercise programs.

REFLECTING ON THE JOURNEY
The Transformation from Kratos Fit to Radian Mobility

The journey of Radian Mobility, despite its premature end, was a testament to the potential of integrating advanced technology into healthcare. The transition from Kratos Fit's vibrant, energetic branding to Radian Mobility's more clinical and trustworthy appearance was a significant part of this journey. This rebranding reflected the shift in focus from general fitness to specialized, medically-aligned physiotherapy, aiming to foster trust and professionalism. My role in this transformation was not just about changing colors and logos but redefining the product's identity to align with its renewed mission and audience.

Radian Mobility is an innovative mobile application designed to transform physiotherapy treatment by shifting from traditional paper-based exercise programs to a sophisticated, AI-driven system. The app streamlines the creation and monitoring of personalized therapy programs, providing physiotherapists and patients with real-time feedback and actionable insights to enhance recovery outcomes.

I was the founding designer on this project and worked end-to-end with one other designer, product, and engineering from branding up to implementation.

THE CHALLENGE

Born from the advanced motion-tracking AI of Kratos Fit, Radian Mobility was an ambitious pivot towards physiotherapy and recovery. The goal was to harness the power of AI in a niche that offered clear value and differentiation. The challenge was twofold: convincing physiotherapists of the technology's tangible benefits, as many were accustomed to conventional methods, and ensuring patient adherence to exercises outside clinic visits. The app was designed to not only guide patients through their prescribed regimens but also enable physiotherapists to monitor progress and completion, thereby fostering a more consistent and accountable recovery process.

However, despite the innovative idea and technology, Radian faced the ultimate hurdle: it sought to solve a problem for a market that wasn't ready to prioritize health in the way Radian envisioned and therefore closed operations after 2 years of effort in December 2023.
