PROFILE CARD REDESIGN
UX Research + UI Design + Prototyping for Mobile

The goal of this project was to redesign the Profile Card to optimize user engagement with the different actions available on the card and to create a better user experience. I conducted in-depth user interviews and tests with 8 participants to understand what users want from the profile card and to learn which actions they believe are most important and therefore deserve priority. I presented the below deck to stakeholders in the Product and Engineering teams and was thereafter given the go-ahead to implement this redesign in the app.

TIPPING
UX Research + UI Design + Prototyping Micro-Animations for Mobile

Tipping was a feature added to live rooms so that audience members could tip the hosts of the rooms with credits and get recognized for doing so. I conducted user interviews and tests with 6 active IMVU users to get feedback for the tipping feature. The interviews were conducted via video chats and the user tests were conducted using Figma Prototypes. After completing the interviews, I gathered all the collected information and synthesized it into 2 persona types. Using this information, I mocked up solutions to the pain points users seemed to have so that every type of user would be happy with the end product.

These prototypes ranged from nuanced interaction cues to more complex system flows, each meticulously crafted to enhance the platform's intuitiveness and engagement. YOUTUBE IN LIVE ROOMS

  • Integrated YouTube into IMVU live rooms to enhance host capabilities for entertaining audiences.

  • Functionality:

    • Enabled hosts to log into their YouTube accounts.

    • Allowed playing of personal playlists or searching for broadcast content.

  • Prototype Development:

    • Created succinct prototypes to demonstrate the user interaction process.

    • Included subtle micro-animations to enrich the user experience.

  • Engineering Collaboration:

    • Prototypes guided the engineering team for precise feature execution.

  • Outcome:

    • Delivered an immersive and seamless audio-visual experience in live rooms.

IMVU

3D Avatar-Based Social Media Metaverse

IMVU is an online metaverse and social networking site where members use 3D avatars to meet new people, chat, create, and play games. With a bustling virtual economy, users can design, purchase, and sell a vast array of items. It's a space that merges creativity, social connections, and commerce, offering an immersive experience that goes beyond traditional social media platforms. 

My role was Sr. Product Designer and I worked end-to-end across all platforms with the art, product, engineering, and QA teams from planning up to implementation support and maintenance.
